As Kevin recounted, Dervishaj went with his brother and Albanian gang comrade to the Ridgewood house of a man named Lulzim Kupi, threatened to kill his family and demanded $20,000 in extortion money. Kupi had his own gun and there was a firefight in the streets. Dervishaj was shot the arm and his brother was killed.
