Apparently Levy Aron realized that by kidnapping a young boy from such a tight-knit community as the Hasidic Jews, a lot of people would be looking for eight-year-old Leiby Kletzky. So rather than returning him and trying to do damage control, he reportedly brutally murdered him in a panic. An amazingly sad, incomprehensible story.
